Zenith Body and Mind is co-founded by Anita Lawless and Niki Walker. Their combined knowledge and expertise offers a seamless integration of mindset coaching, cognitive and emotional fitness, physical training, and nutrition to revolutionise personal health. WHAT IS METABOLIC HEALTH?
Metabolic health refers to the state of optimal metabolic function with the body. It encompasses various processes that regulate how our bodies convert food into energy and how it utilises that energy.

Our physical and mental health are not separate entities, our brain is part of our body and understanding how we can look after our metabolic health will help improve or protect us from:
• Diabetes
• Cardiovascular diseases
• Cognitive diseases such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s
• Some cancers
• Mental health problems such as lack of focus, poor memory, depression, anxiety, and some instances of psychosis

Our mitochondria play a central role in metabolism, making energy for cells by turning food into oxygen and ATP (the energy currency of human cells). We turn over approximately our own body weight in ATP each day, and the pre-eminent role of eating is to provide the fuel for mitochondria.
Our metabolic and mitochondrial health are impacted by our lifestyles and behaviours such as:

1. Our diet: The food we consume on a daily basis is our most important intervention.
2. Exercise: Physical activity isn't solely for the body—it profoundly affects brain function.
3. Sleep: Quality sleep is fundamental for our health.
4. Physical Environment & Social Environment: The spaces we occupy and our interactions with people influence our mitochondrial health and mental well-being.
5. Meaning and Purpose: Having a sense of purpose contributes significantly to our mental and physical health.

TRANSFORMATIONAL COACHING
Anita Lawless brings a wealth of expertise to Zenith Body and Mind. As an EMCC accredited Transformational Coach and a Three Principles Practitioner, coupled with her First Class Honours degree in Psychology and Counselling, Anita is dedicated to guiding individuals through life's complexities.
Anita's approach is rooted in fostering deep self-awareness. She dives into the core influences shaping human motivations and behaviours, utilizing up-to-date scientific understanding to dispel myths and cut through the often confusing and contradictory information that inundates us. By guiding individuals to discern what resonates within their unique experiences and worldview, she illuminates a path to transformative decisions. This journey not only offers valuable insights but also leads to substantial improvements in perspectives and overall well-being.

NUTRITION COACHING
Food is such a big part of our daily lives, and we create meaningful and complex relationships with food because of how we feel about food, not just what it does for us on a fundamental level out of necessity. Is it the way we feel that drives what food choices we make, or do the food choices we make drive the way we feel?
As a qualified Nutrition Coach Niki will make available to you practical solutions to promote your wellbeing via healthier food choices, and as you actively participate in prioritising your nutrition you will be able to retain the knowledge to understand how to continue introducing sustainable change at the end of the programme.
Niki will provide nutritional education and helpful recommendations for you to navigate real-world nutritional challenges.
By evaluating your existing dietary patterns and behaviours using tools and assessments she will develop customized, evidence-based nutrition guidance, provide actionable, proven methods for you to reach your nutrition goals and separate nutrition fact, from nutrition fiction
PERSONAL TRAINING
With a decade-long tenure as a qualified CIMSPA registered Personal Trainer, Niki is a cornerstone of Zenith Body and Mind, specializing in personalized, one-on-one interactions to cultivate a positive relationship with physical activity. Her expertise lies in guiding individuals through the often daunting process of starting an exercise regimen.
Niki will provide a safe personal space where you will work together to understand how exercise can benefit you on a day to day basis. Niki will focus on functional training which enables you to move more confidently in your daily life. Working at your own pace she will ensure you practice the correct form to prevent injury, enable you to maintain a good range of mobility and increase overall strength. By creating a bespoke plan to support you to reach your goals, Niki will give you the confidence to increase your physical capacity to improve your overall wellbeing for you and your future health.
